I preserve as many local strawberries as I can in May and June to bring you a taste of summer during the Ohio winter! Crumb crust made with homemade vanilla wafers, strawberry custard that is bursting with flavor from over a pound of strawberries, and vanilla whipped cream. Keep refrigerated. Best eaten within three days. 10 inches, serves 8 slices.
